Notebook PC Does not Automatically Connect to WLAN if Undocked while in Standby Mode

Understanding the problem
The notebook PC does not automatically connect to a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) if the notebook PC went into standby mode while docked and was undocked while in standby mode. The WLAN/LAN is enabled. The notebook PC detects the wireless network but does not automatically connect.
